First stop to the Far East

Passing through
Abu Dhabi airport must have one of the highest passing-through ratios in the world; almost everybody has to get off the plane there, and nobody even thinks of staying.
If you did just that for long enough, sooner or later you would meet almost every Westerner worth meeting at all in that mushroom-shaped central hall, dazed by jetlag and longing for home, or impatiently waiting to get back on that plane to the Far East.
